6 bolt or 7 bolt?

I am looking at buying another talk.the title says its a 93, the build date is September of 92. how can i tell if its a 6 o 7 bolt other than looking at the oil pan? if its a 7 bolt i don't want to drive the 2 hours to go look at it. thanks for any help

Nope. March/april of 92 they started with 7 bolts.

I was thinking that it was going to be a 7 bolt. the guy only wants 300 for it and its an awd 5 speed. so i might pick it up anyways and part it out

Mine is a May of 92 build with a 6bolt. Sketchy time in the DSM world. Tres....

My 92 was a May build date and it was a 6 bolt.

Mine was a Sept of 89 build and its a 6 bolt haha

DSM's made in 89-92 1\2 had 6 bolts

DSM's made in 92 2\2 - 98 had 7 bolts
