6 bolt engine rebuild question

Found metal shavings in the bottom of the oil pan in my friends eclipse, so I'm helping it tear it down now. Is the crank gear (the gear the timing belt runs on) pressed on the crank and do you need a special puller to remove it? Thanks for the help.

no,it slides right off.

It should slide off but sometimes only a puller will take it off.
