Alright, so after a couple years of thrashing on this thing, it finally let go. Wrist pin on cyl #4 gave out, taking rod and piston with it.
That being said, I still have what I believe to be a good block/crank, (rod and main journals looked good, and no scratching that can be felt with a fingernail on the bore), 3 good ross pistons on 3 good eagle rods.
Basically, what I would like to get done, is the block, crank, and pistons checked, possible hone, new piston and rod, crank cleaned with the balls pulled as per BogusSVO's write up, crank polished if needed, rotating assembly balanced if needed, and rotating assembly installed.
There is no one locally that I trust to do this. I need a shop with in depth knowledge on 4g63's and is paying attention to detail. I push this thing hard; 30psi+ on a roughly 60lb/min turbo. The car ran 11.3 @ 130 with a crap 60ft, so that should give you an idea of what I need this thing to be able to handle.
I tried calling Dale Morss Machine Shop, but the phone has given me a busy signal all morning, and I noticed he hasn't been on this site since March.
I am assuming the big guys Like JAM, Force, Curt Brown, etc aren't going to be interested in something like this as it's basically a refresh/rebuild, not a high dollar built bottom end fully supplied by them.
Anybody have suggestions?
