Hello,
I am writing to get some help on what to tell the machine shop when i drop off my block and parts. Do i just give them the paperwork that came with the pistons? How do they know where to align the mains too?
Another question i have is about main bearings.... If i have it Align honed do i need over-sized main bearings at all? I see those are an option on extreme psi and i am unsure. I still have to order the bearings and girdle.
If i decide to take my used 4G64 Crank in.... what would i tell them so that its finished in spec?
My plan is to have the block hot tanked, bored, align honed, decked and powder coated. I want them to file the ring gaps and have it ready for assembly.
Parts list:
6 bolt block - 2.3 stroker
Eagle 100mm crank which is new or my used 4g64 crank
Wieseco HD stroker pistons with 21mm pin - new
Manley Turbo Tuff i beam rods -
Kiggly Girdle
L19 Studs
ARP mains
Thank you in advance for all of the help.
