6 bolt block question

me and my buddy found a n/t 4g63 long block but during dis-assembly we found a hole in the block below the upper balance shaft we do plan on doing a balance shaft delete if that helps our case it seems harmless to me it appears to be along nothing vital but i could be wrong will post pics soon but maybe its more of a common problem

I pulled a n/t 6 bolt block out of an old dsm i used to have and when i stripped it down i found this same hole your talking about. From my understanding its just a casting flaw and doesn't really effect anything. I also pulled another n/t 6 bolt block not to long ago and it didnt have the hole.
