Anyone know what the IDC's would be for Evo 560's running on a rewired Evo IX MR fuel pump at 20 psi? FPR is stock so base fuel pressure would be that of a stock 2g (around 42 psi).

Thanks.

The answer is more than 10%...

Know one can answer that question as its very much related to the tune and your engine specifically.

But 560's actually flow around 580 to 590 cc/min atleast mine did and collaborated by the engineers who built them [yes I asked them].

To calculate MAX horspower from an injector ...

HP = ((Injector Size [in CC/min] / 10.5) * (4 * IDC)) / BSFC

Ideally, you do not want to exceed 85% IDC as past that point the injector is considered free flowing and uncontrolled. Also for BSFC it is engine and setup specific to your car and at the moment of testing... however, a range of ~.55 to .65 is considered normal for turbo charged engines..

So MAX POSSIBLE HP with .55 BSFC is:
((590/10.5) * (4 * .85)) / .55 = 347 hp
So MAX POSSIBLE HP with .65 BSFC is:
((590/10.5) * (4 * .85)) / .65 = 293 hp

This is CRANK Hp and it is what the maximum supportable power can be generated from the injectors under ideal conditions.

This is as close to an answer as can be given.

Doesn't the IX MR run 20-22 psi stock? I'm guessing with my current set up that the IDC's on the 560's are between 95%-100% at 20 psi, but I could be wrong which is why I asked.

As for fuel consumption I'm around .65 because my HP rating is roughly 290 crank. Where does that put my IDC's?

Thanks for all the great info as well.

Yes, the IX MR runs about 20-21 psi max for stock boost.

The IX pump flows a bit more than the VIII, but the difference is it doesn't have the pressure relief valve that opens around 65-68 psi. This allows the IX pump to continue flowing in the higher boost levels.

So after looking at the flow rates for injectors and the rewired VIII pump, I'd say your estimate is pretty accurate.

Here are a few threads about people using the IX pump that might interest you, if you haven't read them already:

Yep, read those posts before. Thanks for the info.

Sounds like I've got a sufficient fuel pump to run 25 psi, but my injectors are lacking.

Splitpi~ how are your modded IX injectors working out? I've heard that modified injectors can be problematic? What are your thoughts on this?

The 560's flow 580-590 stock ... un modded. I had my set reworked to flow ~780. I still haven't installed them, and I probably won't. I'm trying to sell my car I have a 1940's Plymouth Pick that I'm going to restore and only have the time and garage space for one toy.... so my eclipse drew the short stick.

I'm going to sell the injectors [and my garage of random eclipse parts and car specific tools] with the car.
