salmon arm,
I am currently running an ar .82 with a 57 trim.... i am experiencing surging with high boost at low rpm, and poor efficiency at higher rpm's..... my mechanic showed me a site with compressor maps and it show's that a 50 trim is going to perform better... the 57 trim is over the surging line at lower rpm levels, and is in a slightly poor efficiency range as the rpm get's up there..... the 50 trim has no surging problems according to the map and the peak efficiency range is large, also with 24 psi, i seem to be in the ideal efficiency region(76-78%)...... please let me know if you are running a setup with a 50 trim and how it performs, or your what you think about switching to the 50 trim????? thanks:dsm: :thumb: :dsm:

i see no reason to go smaller with a 2.3l. you would be dissapointed unless you are autoexing which it would be fine . i run a FPRED 60-1 on my 2.3 and everythings is kosher. no surge what so ever. I would jsut go bigger ot scme61 or t66 or fp3575
