does anyone know how much a new or used 5-speed tranny cost fora 1995 eagle talon tsi fwd.

You'll have to look for yourself to determine what you want exactly.
The best resources are probably the DSMTuners Classifieds and eBay. Expect to pay more than about $200, but I wouldn't go over $800 or so.

I paid $565 shipped to my house used, it was an AWD tranny though. A friend locally picked up one for $300. If you buy it online be carefull. http://www.craigslist.org/nby/pts/128236488.html you can see if this guy will part with his transmission

I bought it off someone here. You're kinda local, my friend grenaded his GST let me see if he's selling the tranny.
