JDM 2g 5 speed Transmission

I am looking at a JDM transmission for my 2g automatic to swap to 5 speed...

My understanding is these transmissions are from an EVOIII, and I already read a thread when I searched that said there would be some type of problem with the rear diff. and the wheels in the front and back spinning at different speeds... My question is, what would be the cost to get this transmission to work in my car? And what exactly would need to be changed? (the other threads were'nt so clear on this) However, if I am swapping from auto to manual, would I need to change the rear diff. no matter what? Thanks...

Why not just use a plain old 2g DSM tranny?

The JDM trans I am looking at is $290.00 plus shipping. Any other trans I've seen for sale is priced much higher, and it's much harder to find a stock 2g awd transmission.
