I made it out last week to Milan for their outlaw limited street class and put down a couple passes. The weather was great and the track was hooking very well. The only problem was a pretty strong headwind. First hit off the trailer at 41-42psi was 5.39 at 128mph. Second pass I richened it up a tick and at 43-44psi it put down:

1.245 60'
3.47 330'
5.31 at 131mph

The engine seems good after some crank modifications (added counterweight), so that is a great start. Shift points on the second pass were 9700. Unfortunately it ate the transmission pump so I didn't get a chance to see what 50+psi does. Next time out we'll be going there.

Here is a video from the good pass:

This is now on E98, so a special thanks to Fuel Injector Clinic for helping us out with their 2150cc injectors and rail. The injectors are just killer, this thing should not idle like it does with the big cams, yet it will stay running below 1000rpm without problems.

Thanks to all the others that have been helping us out through the years:
Wiseco Pistons and K1 Rods
Borg Warner Airwerks
Precision Industries Converters
Forced Performance
Haltech
Monkeywrench Racing

lose 1000 lbs

well my car weighs 2600lbs or so so its not too heavy. And I wanted advice from kiggly, not from you guys who I already but better 60's then. I want to know how to get from 1.7s I already cut down to the 1.5-1.6 range with FWD.

Hurry the hell up there is 2 other autos catching up to you!!!OMGROFL

Nice runs you have always been one of the reasons to keep my car going. :thumb:

No need to be Hostile BRO saying you can out do them.

You probably need to lose 1000lbs and go auto and copy a proven setup don't trying go around the box, are you sure this car is 2600lbs?

Kiggz,

Looking sick as usual. get r dun

It's a race to the 20's now, isn't it?

I'll be out again very soon and will make some 1/4 passes if all goes well.

I have no class to run without the bars. That is an east and west coast thing, never was a sfwd class in the Midwest even in the heyday.

i agree, but what makes you think that your 1.7s are better than my 60' times? im not going to argue with you bc little girls take hits at each other on the internet.

Kiggly, im not too far away from milan, ive ran there a couple times. whens the next time you're going out?

Awesome job Kevin!:thumb: I love to see you guys at the top keep pushing for more. The trickle down effect helps us all in the long run, so thanks for that.:D

Lol nah I m pretty sure I'm done for the year. I have to figure out what to do with all this new found power and weak rear end parts.

Not wanting to go the same route as your brother?

Good luck with the 50psi runs Kevin, let that beast RIP!:hellyeah:

Nice work as always Kevin, I'm prepping my car to goto vegas here in a few weeks. I'm trying a couple of things out and if they work like they did last year I should see some 1/8th mile time improvements, crap who knows any more with these things.

Good luck out there Jeff.

We made it out again last night in sketchy conditions. The weather only held for one slippery pass, but the engine and everything else still seems fine afterward. It was a 5.48 at 126mph with a lot of wheelspin. It's amazing how much 1/8mi speed it loses just to track conditions. I'll try to put together a comparison log to post, the wheelspeeds and tire spin between the runs is pretty shocking.
