While going through the gears yesterday on the way home from the car wash I got to 4th gear it ground and kicked out..so i put it in neutral and tryed and it went right in. So iam about ready to stop put it in 4th and gone. The shifter is extremely tight? Iam scared is it my first extended down time? BTW ive got a 3yr warranty so I dont feel so bad. Give me the truth?

Uhhh myne does the same thing if i put it in while racing (quick shift) usually it stays in 4th if i normally put it in gear while driving it kicks it back out once or twice then i get it to stay...... Nothing really grinds it just kicks it out and pisses me off... it only happens to 4th gear all the other gears are good. Im thinking it might be a syncro????

I have the same issue on my K1500 Chevy truck. Fourth gear. No grinding going in. It just kicks back out unless I slam it into gear. The tranny has been rebuilt 3 times, trying to solve this issue, and no luck so far.

my 90 n/t did the same hting and i used to hold the SOB in there till i needed 5th. id just get the tranny rebuilt before you end up liek me with 2 halfs of a tranny
