I bought a brand new tranny from the mitsu dealer. I also got my shortblock rebuilt and got everything put together. My clutch only had 2k miles on it. Well i had my mechanic adjust the clutch today because it wouldnt come all the way back up untill later popped out. He claimed he didnt fully adjust it last time because i was in a hurry to get the car back. Before the adjustment, 4th gear wouldnt slip at all even if i gave it 50% throttle or more, so this tells me that the adjustment might have something to do with it. Well anyways, i noticed that i have to let the clutch out 80% for it to even go. And then in 4th gear i gave it 50% throttle and it just slipped. If i give it a little gas it will not slip but if i floor it (which i havnt done yet) or if i give it anything more than 40% throttle, it slips in 4th gear. Can anyone give me some input on what is probably the issue here. My guess tells me he adjusted the clutch way tooo high. I mean it is a brand new tranny, new clutch, new motor.
Thanks
