4G64 Spyder GS Hybrid Evo VIII T

I been doing my homework on the type build i want to go into the past 3 maybe 4 years i thing i have everything that i need minus some few small things for my 4g64 x 4g63 hybrid. i went to the little small mom and pop yard and came across a 4g63 head but the car it was on the belts are standing in front of the car was to the left and the belts on my 99 eclipse gs is on the right. can i still use this head as long as all the cams are set as they should be between intake and exhaust?

You are likely looking at a 4g64 based Hyundai or Kia engine, the head wont work on the older 4g63, or 4g64, as you saw the block is mounted backwards.

Update on the head issue so i went back to that same yard and found a 1G eclipse hiding of the edge of a row of cars the weeds literally took it over gold mine has everything i need in one spot with the right head on it and everything. so i will take and have it cleaned up and machined and coated again. Best part they are willing to just do the swap out.

I dont know if you guys can tell but on this valve cover the timing marks arent on it is the a piece missing from the cover? didnt even see any marks on the gear cover

The head/valve cover mating surface is the mark. Line the marks up on the two cam sprockets so that they meet in the middle and also line up with the surface the valve cover sits on. The camshaft dowel pins in the gears should be pointing straight up.
