Car was running, had an exhaust leak. Installed new exhaust and cat. Now I am getting no fuel. I am getting spark. Spray starter fluid into the intake and it fires right up.

I do not hear anything from the fuel pump when I turn the key and it just keep cranking over. Took off the fuel return line and cranked it, no fuel coming out.

Which one is the fuel pump drive connector I use to put power to the fuel pump? I have the Chilton manual, but it’s not very clear.

I check all fuses under the hood and fuses under the drivers side dash on the left side, all are intact. Is there something I’m missing to check?

I think I found them. Now just need to figure out which connection to put power to to check fuel pump.

The black connector is the fuel pump check connector.
I have a black/white and black/blue wires on that conenctor. Want to ensure I apply 12v to the correct wire. So I am looking for the answer right now in the wiring diagram.

Applied 12v to black/blue wire on the black connector. Nothing.

This is without a battery in the vehicle and key out of the ignition.

Silly me - didn’t even consider it had two terminals.

Yeah, black with blue should be right. You can try directly at the pump, battery voltage to the pin that has the black with blue wire and ground the other pin, to see if it works.

I have a power probe, so was applying 12v to that wire. Will need to ground out the other one LOL I’ll go down in the morning and try that, but if that doesn’t work, symptoms are pointing to a new fuel pump.

New fuel pump in. Attempted to start, would not fire still. Removed fuel filter, attached hose, activated fuel pump from the engine bay and looked at fuel. I think it’s been sitting in the tank awhile. I brought this straight from where I bought it from on a dolly to my house. It did run at the time, as I test drove it around, but it had a bad exhaust leak.

As I changed out the pump, I took a Quick Look inside the tank and it looks pretty rusted. So yeah, that may also be a factor in not running.

So new fuel tank on the way to get some fresh, good fuel into the engine bay.

Did you ever resolve this?
