This is not my area of expertise but for the sake of a quick answer, I searched and it seemed as if most people were using 2g heads, so 95-99 4g63 dohc
I found a 2g eclipse that had a dohc head on it but was looking and its a 2.0L where as mine is a 2.4L . My convern is all the cars i looked at today has the belt side of the engine on the passenger side as where mine is on the driver side . I was reading up on some thing and it was saying to use a hyundai dohc head cuz supposedly they bolt up and so does the exhaust manifold and intake . The only thing i read that people didnt like was there was no oil spitter for turbo set up but im wanting to keep my spyder gs non turbo just swap head to dohc . Heres photo of my engine so u can see how my set up is back wards from all the other eclipse ive seen

It’s likely you saw the 420a non turbo engines.

A 4g63 head from a 90-94 Talon, Eclipse, or Laser 2.0l turbo or non turbo or a 4g63 head from a 95-99 TURBO Eclipse or Talon will work.

ok thank you . yeah i seen some of them but i didnt think they would work cuz of them being a 2.0 and mine a 2.4 . i been reading alot on people using these hyundai heads on the dsm blocks and saying they are basically the evo motor . i just pulled my head and cleaned pistons and block so if you were going to swap to dohc would you go with the hyundai or with what you showed in pic

I would be shopping for a 95-99 2.0 turbo head.

You cant use a Hyundai head on the Dsm version of the 4g63, other than the very old 90's version of the Hyundai engine, the Hyundai head and engine sits backwards from our version of the Siruis engine, you need the ones that I listed.
