Hey guys...
I'm looking to start from scratch as the current engine in the eclipse is walking along with a blown transmission that's in is due to broken forks :S
Long story short...
Found a 4G64 in a '04 Galant at the local pick and pull for a mere $150 for the complete long block with no accessories with only 78000Kms !!!
After a small chat with the guys at Magnus they said that the 2.1L is fun but if looking for a reliable build should consider the 2.2l because the rod angles aren't as extreme as the 2.1L.
This is what I'm thinking for a 2.2L 750HP capable package:
Head -> 4G63 1G
Ported and Polished
Manley Over sized and back-cut Valves
Magnus Bee Hive springs with Ti retainers
3G Lifters
272/272 DKS Cams
Fidanza cam gears
Block -> 4G64
Custom Ross OR JE pistons
Total Seal rings
Eagle Rods
Crower Crank
ACL Tri metal bearings Mains and Rod bearings
ACC.
Cometic Headgasket
ARP hardware Throughout the engine
SMIM ( not sure if i will buy or will make one )
Fidanza flywheel and ACT 2100 Clutch ( may go twin plate )
Custom Divided T4 header with dual waste gates ( open dump )
T66 turbo .81 A/R turbine and .70 A/R Compressor - 360' Trust bearing
Custom Down pipe with cat delete
Apexi N1 or HK$ Carbon/Ti Cat Back
Intercooler will be a custom 28x10x3 Spearco core with 3" in/out
Fueling will be handled by FIC 1050's fed by Wally 255
Managed By an older DTA P8Pro ECU
The way i look at it...
" Do it once and do it right " applies to most of my work...

due to a recent "incident" my rear sub frame is bent and seems like a perfect excuse for AWD Conversion....

good luck with your build post the dyno runs when your finished very interested in seeing what you can get out of it
