4G64/4G63 turbo

hey guys I recently spun a rod bearing on my 4G63 block so i went out looking for a new crank. I ended up getting a great deal on a 4g64 bottom end. crant is perfect and everything is standard size. it looks like it has never been taken apart. im gonna go ahead and buy new rings, bearing etc, but these rods look WEAK. Can i use 2g 4g63 rods? I would think the stock 2g 4g63 turbo rods would be stronger the and stock 4g64 rods. im planning on running onlyu 7 to 12 lbs of boost.

What're you attempting to do? Use the 63 head? The 63 rods are 150 mm, same as the 64. Find a set of 6 bolt rods. They are strongest

4g64/63 rods are the same, keeping in mind 6 and 7 bolt journal differences do not allow the use of 6 bolt rods on a 7 bolt crank and vice versa. The major differences between the blocks are crank stroke and pistons.

I am doing this same swap right now i have a 98 64 block that im putting into a 97 gst. i found that the 2.4 sohc spyder head gasket matches up to all the ports on the bottom of my 2g head

ALL DONE!!! Im driving my new 2.4L DOHC turbo powered Daihatsu Charade... Im Breaking it in so I havnt gone over 2.5K rpm but i can feel the torque difference. I used a 97 Galant SOHC block everything mathes up just fine. I had a new timing belt on my 4g63 so I didnt use the Galant DOH belt. I used the same 4g63 belt but I swapped the Idler Bearing for a Tensioner Bearing and adjusted it to work.
