Resolved 4G63 swap the rocker arms, lifters and cams?

I have a rebuilt head that is just about new but i have it with no rocker arms, lifters, and camshafts/sprockets.

But i have a head that is on my car now and was wondering if i could swap the rocker arms, lifters and cams with no problems at all.

My rebuilt head was on a FWD Laser RS and my car is an AWD Laser RS

If i could just swap these over it would save me a lot of trouble but any help is needed.

If theyre both 4g63s then they can be safely swapped out. FWD and AWD doesnt make a difference when it comes to the subject at hand.
 
Make sure the cam caps on each head STAY on that head. Do not mix up the cam caps or the cams won't turn.

All the rest of the stuff; cams, lifters and rockers can be swapped between heads.
 
So i have to use the caps that are for my rebuilt head and not the one's from where i'm swapping the cams from? Are cam caps head specified cause i always thought they were cam specific.
 
Correct. The caps HAVE to stay with the head they were bolted down to. You, also, HAVE to keep them IN ORDER. Check out your Haynes or Chilton manuals. They will have the order and torque specs you need. By swapping out the caps between heads, you change the "roundess" of each of the head's journals in which the cams rotate. You change that spec, and bad things will happen. Don't do it.
 
cam caps are like rod caps and main caps, they are macined as a unit

yes you can put the cam caps from head 1 on head 2, but like said above, its not needed(unless you just feel the need to spend about $200 have your cam tower bores align honed)

the cam tower caps are lettered/numbered for what side and what position they go E1 with be the first one that holds the cam seal on the exhaust side.

Also the make sure the cam caps face the proper way, or you will end up with cam bind/grab
