4g63 swap into Mitsubishi Mirage DE

Looking to swap a 4g63 motor into my Mitsubishi Mirage DE 2 door trying to see what it would take to actually swap it and what 5 speed transmission would be good the 4g63 in the mirage

What year Mirage? I looked into doing this years ago but sold the Mirage. Check out this thread

its a 2000 but its the 1.5l not the 1.8l

"97-"02 are 5th gen Mirages, the easiest way to 4g63t swap those model years is to use an evo 4-9 based Sirius engine, since the 5th gen mirage is based on the evo 4-6, and for those that don't know the engines on the evo 4-9 were rotated 180 degrees vs the dsm or evo 1-3, 4g63t engines, and not saying the evo 1-3 or dsm 4g63t engines can't be custom made to fit, but it's more fabrication that you won't have to do if you use an engine that already bolts right in, using the stock 5th gen mirage engine mounting locations, check out mirage performance forums for more details.
