i cant seem to find an answer to this so here goes....

has anyone been able to run either ECMlink or EVO8 ecu on a 4G63 with ITB's??

my track car will be running ITB's and a EVO8 16g twin scroll turbo later this year... just looking for a good ecu to run them....

links or any info would be great....

I don't really grasp how the choice to use ITBs over a single one would effect using either ECU on a turbo motor other than finding a suitable TPS. You can either run a MAF or run SD for airflow input.

Why do you ask?

i already have the TPS, just needs to be calibrated to the ECU..

only asking cause of ITB's flowing more then single throttle, will the available tuning parameters in ECMlink/EVO8 ecu be able to adjust far enough.... i dont think i have seen anyone try this yet....

ECMLink has PLENTY of adjustment to do what you need it to do. Think of changing to the ITB's like changing a set of cams or a turbo. They will deliver the airflow a little differently but not so much that you need a whole different engine management to handle it.

Are you planning on running a intercooler with this setup? It looks pretty interesting. Good luck with the build.

thats all i needed to hear. cheers...

i have a current designed using a water to air cooler core that is merged into the intake plenum that houses the V/stacks, but not quite sure how efficient that would be..

plans would be either a custom bar and plate front mount or the usuall PWR Barrell Intercooler..

aiming for the shortest pipe length and most efficient way of cooling (also what the wallet allows)

Curious if you would be willing to explain the reason you decided to use ITB? I personally don't really see how it's an improvement over say a aftermarket unit with a larger throttle body. I assume it's NOT going to be a drag car, going to this much trouble on a 16g powered car.

to be honest its just pure challenge... i built a supercharged 4G63 cause no one had ever done it in Aust.. so someone requested ITB's..

the ITB's were originally going to be put into a RWD 4G63 Starion and run N/T, but the build was cancled.

so to put them to good use i'm using them on my Eterna....

so for future reference, we can have a ITB+16g vs Big TB+16g responsive...
