please help me. im new to this forum thing.

last year i purchased a 22g turbo. i want to upgrade intercooler pipes since i bought a new front mount intercooler. the problem i face is i want to run approximately around max 20 to 22psi and what size inlet manifold do i need.

will standard do or aftermarket. i was told if you get the n/a inlet manifold, and put another throttle body, it will be better? would it be wise to go aftermarket inlet manifold?

the next question since i will run max 20-22psi with the 22g, should i run 2.5'' ic piping or 3'' ic piping.

since my 22g has a 0.80 exhaust side, would a custom exhaust manny be appropriate or should i use a vr4 or evo item to run the turbo??

i have heard that if you change cams the car feel less torquey down low?, i will be changing cams to hks 264/272 and valve systems, however by changing the cams and valves what is the max redline that the engine will handle after valve system eg retainers springs.

if a inlet manifold is used will the car feel very laggy at beginning.is the inlet manifold recommended for street purposes.

i have looked at a n/a manifold and will this be of any advantage since the runners are single not double.

what size intercooler pipes do you recommend? 2.5'' or 3''?

also i want power throughout the whole rpm range until about 8000rpm. what i have been told if cams are changed.

if anyone can help i would greatly appreciate it. my car is apart in my garage just waiting to be fixed so the soon i get help, the quicker i can put the thing on the road. thanks and sorry for the essay message.

welcome to dsmtuners. you seem to fit in perfectly.

hate to break it to you, but youll be very lucky to hit 11's. i think you'd get more help if you didnt post in the extreme tech forum.

happy boosting.

I am about 99% certain you have all the intake manifold and cylinder head you need to hit 11's-12's.

It is a 93 so it is likely the same as a first generation eclipse intake manifold and throttle body. It may have only one vaccum port or something different like that but no major differences. Oh turbo and non turbo engines before 1995 had the same intake manifold, head and connecting rods. So forget all that non turbo parts crap. It is the same on a 1993.

Max redline is dependant on alot of things. On a stock 2.0 don't raise the limiter. If you have stock connecting rods with ARP bolts and mild cams add about 1k to the readline.

Forged rods, forgrd pistons, bigger cams, EMS, better igniton and a few other things and you can rev the crap out of that 2.0.

However if the transmission has'nt recieved dual synchros in every gear or an albins gearset you wont have that new found redline usable at all.

Use an evo manifold a ported 2g DSM mani is as good but in austrailia it's probably backwards. Many more evo manifolds than 2g T & E ones. Check the turbine outlet port. Every variation of the evo probably hit aussie land. Make sure to port match (enlarge to match) the manifold to the turbine inlet. No lips, steps, edges or anything just a smooth wall the same diameter and alignment where both parts meet. Not hard to do but time consuming.

IC pipe diameter... Match your intercooler end tank barbs.

Hey can you take a picture of a toilet and how the water spins the other way down there?

mate all i can say is, THANKS MATE you are a LEGEND. excuse me but would it be any trouble to obtain your msn address so i can message you? you are the only one that has given me good advice, and i appreciate it. thank you. please email [email protected]. thanks again MNGSX

look up ray hall and some other places down there...

Also alot of EVO knowledge applies to DSMs so there should be some opportunity to learn from all those EVO guys down there.
