I'm wondering if there's a difference between each of the balance shaft seals on a 1g 4g37?
I'm shopping for new ones and keep seeing them labeled "right side". But I haven't found any labeled left side... Visually they look the same diameter to me. But they are different colors on my engine (one is brown one is black). I wasn't sure if that's because they're different parts or if someone just replaced one of them at some point.

Solution
4g37 = 1g 1.8L?
Wouldn't the left side be the oil pump drive gear shaft seal (MD343566)? I don't see a castle nut/o-ring on this model like the 4g63.
