What is needed, in your opinion, to run a 100 dry shot on the 420a motor... Im talking about the SOHC neon version. I know this is a little off topic but it is important...

Wrong forum, but I personally wouldnt EVER run a DRY 100 shot that's just plumb crazy. I know that a WET 75 shot is nothing for those engines to take, or most stock engines for that matter if you just be careful with it. check the nitrous forum on here and check it out over at www.2gnt.com they are a nonturbo only website and has alot more information on this matter.

Don't run a dry shot, especially a 100shot. Didnt you learn anything from fast and the furious? It will blow the welds off your intake manifold. :nono:

built bottom end, and some SS valves to be safe. but dont run a dry shot, run a wet shot

the 420a is a dohc engine and if its a 97-99 you cant run a dry shot cause it wont really increase full pressure due to the fuel setup, if its a 95-96 maybe you could get away with a 50 shot. id go with a wet setup and maybe a 75 shot

um... this guy stated that it's a neon SOHC with the 420a engine and he is correct. But like everyone else is saying run a wet shot.. maybe a little more work to install and a little more money up front but it's alot safer and also I wouldn't do over a 75 shot. Zex and NX both state that you don't want to run more than 20 extra horses per cylinder with a wet setup on a stock engine.

actually there is a yes and no to that response, yes it is a 420a block but the thats it. the neon engine codes are

sohc - s4re
dohc - d4re

the neons have a different head, more aggresive cam, etc.
