Haverhill,
Hey all.
Can't figure this out or find an answer in the manuals so here it is...

Near the front of the driver's side on the valve cover, the part that's facing the intake tube, there's a small hole. It is threaded inside with shiny gold / brass threads. I have no idea how long it has been open like this (although the shininess of it makes me think not too long). Can anyone tell me what this hole is and what is supposed to screw in there?

I've looked through the Hayne's & Chilton's manuals and can't find any mention of it or reference to it.

All help is greatly appreciated.

No, it's not the breather, that's further back on the valve cover. And it's connected via a tube to the intake. There is no other nipple on the intake tube for this thing.
Standing in front of the car, what I'm talking about is located on the right-hand side of the valve cover, near the front.
