420a turbo for 8psi

thats pretty cheap where did he get his parts at ? would of paid extra $200 if i knew. At the same time im not boosting more than 10 just 8

He got his rods off ebay. Pistons and bearings from CImotorsports. Oil and water pump, felpro hg from autozone. and then he got a upper and lower gasket kit and some other goodies

Why so set on 8 psi? Since your not terribly worried about performance why not run 6 or 7 with a decent tune? Youll reap the same/more power of the 8 psi with the reliability of lower boost...

Some 95's don't need them, I have seen a few that still needed them. Either way, a 12:1 FMU puts a ton of strain on your fuel system, your talking about over 100psi of fuel pressure, IMO you should invest in a SFMU at least.

Vortech SFMU, IMO, There are no others. What you have pictured is a BEGI, i think, go with with Vortech SFMU.

I think your right on the BEGI Billet FMU! What you need to look at is this FMU is adjustable so you need to make sure that you are running the right fuel to air for your setup. Also I think the Vortech SMFU is only adjustable between 7:1, 5:1, 3.25:1 and 2.5:1 so if it was me I would just go with the tried and true Vortech 12:1 FMU. But you really need to figure out your fuel issues.

The Vortech Super-FMU is the way to go if your going to stick with an FMU. They also make a bleeder screw for more "fine tuning" with the SFMU.

I think they where having trouble with our crank signal last time I checked. They may have an update for that since I last checked though. Its something worth checking into.

The Begi/Cartech unit is a rising rate adjustable regulator, it should do fine for what you need unless your going to be shooting for 15psi or more...

My car has a 196K on it and I'm rebuilding the motor with JE pistons and eagle rods before boosting anything. I've read to many articals about blown engines! Better safe than sorry.

these are not forged... i wish you all the luck in the world though. your car is beautiful, would be a shame after dumping all that money into it to see her not drivable. haha i wish mine was black kinda in the same boat as you, only i dumped 10 grand into my whole build haha at least i know mine will last for 80k miles *knocks on wood*

If I could go back I would build it with better internals and boost 20psi daily but money was a problem and I needed my car back on the road. So far 10k on the engine and I haven't had problems. Hopefully I don't get any problems.
