im looking to boost my stock 420a and run it on 93 octane, im thinking about 7psi intercooled should do the trick and push 240 crank hp with maybe 225ftlbs of torque. am I pushing the limits of stock rods and pistons or could this be a reliable daily driver. also ill be using a 12 to 1 fuel pressure regulator with stock injectors to keep the fuel flowing.

My biggest concern would be the pistons. Our OEM rods are fairly sturdy and definitely capable of 200+hp reliably with stock rev limiter. But the stock cast pistons are known for cracked ringlands though. Even the replacements aren't that great. They're just not designed to handle boost. Since you're already rebuilding the engine as you mentioned in another thread, I would go ahead and drop in some forged pistons. JE or Wiseco will do the trick.
