I have a 1995 Eclipse GS and am rebuilding after a spun rod bearing. I ordered a lower gasket set from partsdinosaur.com and it came with a couple extraneous o-rings and a crush washer that I cannot for the life of me remember taking off the motor when I tore it down late last fall.

I'm about to put the bed plate on and torque it all down and the only o-ring/gasket I can see to put on it is one o-ring for what I'm assuming is for the oil pick-up. I'm wondering if this is just an extra crush washer because this set is for multiple engines or if I missed something.

I haven't taken off the oil filter adapter either.

On a side note, I'm a little concerned with where to put anaerobic sealant close to the rear and front main journals. I'm afraid to get some too close to the journals and risk contaminating my assembly lube with sealant. I've read through the (2gnt.com A Proper Rebuild) so many times I think I could recite it by heart and the picture bothers me where he just gobbed sealant all over the mating surface without even running his finger around and giving an even solid bead.

Please help
