I believe those are the same ones i have. I have eagle rods, but im not sure about the number you gave. They work fine.. Realistically you aren't ever going to overpower your rods. Keep in mind that many people have run up to 17lbs of boost on stock rods and forged pistons. Bad tuning could lead to broken rods, but thats obvious.

Is there any way to get howwell to ship overnight? I have heard MANY people complain about waiting for a bottom end kit a year after they ordered it. But at the same time, i dont know of anywhere else to get a kit like that... i hate the lack of service for the 420a :barf:

They will ship it overnight, but only after they get all the parts in. Thats what take the longest. They usually wait to get all the parts for the kits until someone orders the kit, then they ship it all out. It keeps their overhead down. Best thing to do is give them a call and ask them the lead time and ask them to fax you a sheet that gaurentees when youll have the kit, (if they are willing to do that).

i ordered the long rod bottom end rebuild kit from Howell and it only took about 3 weeks or so to get my box in. like Siu said, waiting for them to get the parts in is the problem, but its not a bad wait at all. and the kit is super impressive. if you have the money i highly suggest ordering form Howell. also, their techs are cool guys. can answer any question you might have and arent dicks about it. :rocks:

Thnx
Terry

turbo.

super 16g with the Hahn portfuler and Hahn fmic. just to name a few parts i ordered to help pay Hahns rent. LOL :D

the reason howell is so slow shipping their bottom end kit is because the pistons are custom made and they don't usually carry them in stock, they are made to order. All you gotta do is call and they will gladly give you the status of your order. I ordered mine beginning of this month and still haven't received it but will be glad to see it. Patience is a virtue. :thumb:

as much as i hate to say it. ebay has them for 319-299 free shipping. eagle rods. i bought mine and have no troulbs from them. i lovem, if you want to go with pistons i ordered some wiscos 8.8 from importperformanceparts.net they came with rings. unlike je comes seperate.

I don't like howellautomotive at all. I've had such bad luck with them. They take forever to ship, if they even ship out your stuff after you pay for it.... yeah

I got all my stuff from ModernPerformance.com. Ordered $2000 worth of engine parts... got them in 3 days. Texas to Michigan. They didn't have my AEM cam gears in stock, so they didn't send those with everything else. I got those 2 days later.
