Get ya some Crower stage 1's. If you aren't going turbo they'll give you a better pull. Also check your head for warpage and check you block for it, too. You'll notice the benefit of of the cams if you do your throttle body first, as well. I'm going with a bigger build and in the end I'll have some Crower Stage 3's Look at either howell or CI, you might be able to find some at disturbing motorsports.
There you go hope it helps!

P.S. Get rid of the iridiums. They are junk for our car. Just get some stock NGK's. After repeated tests, they were found to hold up the best under all conditions.

Most people in the past were disappointed with the Crower 1's, and with as many people streeting Crower 2's happily, I suggest taking a look at those.

Crower 2's are part # 64462-2

241/241 adv dur, 196/194 dur @0.050", 0.222"/0.224" lobe lift.

Well... it always seems I get trumped by Locke....that's why he's the wiseman!:thumb:
Look at CI or Howell. You're looking at spending in between 400 and 500. DMS has crane cams if that what you want.

hey Bullet thanks for the link i know the cams are $389 but what is the second thing for $385 it confused me LOL or can anyone else answer that LOL

i was also wondering the same thing anyone tried the obx cams?

obx
Stage 1 Intake Camshaft - 242 duration, .354 lift with factory rockers
Stage 1 Exhaust Camshaft - 242 duration, .354 life with factory rockers

The lower price is if you want to buy other parts. They give you a discount for a "kit";

Kit Price - requires minimum purchase any 2 of the following: piston set, rod set or crankshaft

SKU: CR-64462-2
Weight: 0.00
Price: $385.19

Viper post up a link to the cams. All I got on the link you posted was the general site.

well if i was gonna go to a stage 2 cam i will upgrade my springs well for the fact like most dsm owners can keep thier foot out the throttle:ohdamn: and i dont wanna float the valves wich type of spring should i go with and where to get them? thanks so far for the help guys

Springs are never a bad idea, although with the Crower 2's, I believe (and please, correct me if I am wrong, Mark, I do tend to forget specifics) Bullett ran them to ~8000rpm on the factory springs without floating the valves, just to prove it could safely be done.

If you are on a budget, and still want better springs, try using 4g63 factory springs.

Otherwise, Crower springs are generally sold anywhere their camshafts are sold.

'Tis true. The idea of valve float is pretty much a myth in most cases with our cars. Proven it multiple times on the dyno. Now a "radical" cam with high lift and agressive ramp speeds would require springs. But, IMO, the Crower 2 is not that radical.

The problem that does develop is valve spring "shake". There was a vid out for a little while, about a year back, that showed a single spring under power/rpm. You could see it shaking side to side. At any of our levels of power/rpm it won't matter. But the fix for this would actually be a "behive" style spring that will help keep the load centered. Kiggly does these for the 4g63's. He may even have that vid on his site. But I'm not sure that there are any springs for our application.
