420a alternator crooked???

On my eclipse the alternator keep chewing up belts, I've looked real close at it and it seems crooked , I never took it off, so i was thinking the last owner ( who did no take care of it!) must have worked on it! Is their any shims, or spacers that might be missing?? got any idea's?... i'ma take it off tomorrow ...... put a new belt on and see if I can i can get it straight
any one else got any idea's?

Make sure your harmanic balancer pulley is in all the way. If it isn't it can cause the belt(s) to be off centered , then the alt or harmanic pulley will chew the belt up.
