Recently my car has been squealing on start-up. (Took everything off to replace water pump, and upon putting back together it's squeaking.) It's coming from the power steering belt. The reason is that the pulley is crooked, the top is basically leaning outward, causing the belt to squeak on start-up. (stops after I drive down the road) I will try and get a picture tomorrow, but is there anyway to basically even it out?
Can I just shim the bottom bolt with some washers to make it straight?
Thanks!
