4-Barrel throttle body

So just wondering if any one has any experiance with a 4-barrel throttle body. Iv seen them made by edelbrock, but just wanting to hear from anyone that has actually used one. Thanks alot all.:confused:
 
No such thing for dsms. You're probably thinking of a 4 barrel tb for a v8 efi conversion.
 
Boomba racing and strictly modified have a new throttle body on the market. It's made for evo's but will fit on our cars with the isc adapter (and extra $41) check that out.
 
that was my big question. why would 4 small holes be better than one big one. oh well. thanks for the advice.
 
you say the airflow looks restricted, but remember it's not always about how big your ports are but about how they're shaped.

Example.
2G intake manifold is smaller than a 1G, but generally produces more power because it is aimed right at the intake valves, per Robert Garcia at RRE.

I don't want to make an argument about this, but, I think they are all pointing the same direction, the intake manifold.Then then the air goes trough the runners to the intake valves to the cylinders, etc , etc.

You're now comparing apples and oranges. You'd want a larger TB to get the air in. From there, the runners on the IM create the velocity that provides low end torque.
