Yesterday was my 3rd time to the local dragstrip and I was hungry for 12's! My first trip up got me some 13.7 passes, a 13.3 pass, and finally a 13.1 pass. With no 2-step my 60ft times were killing me. I was getting anywhere from 2.3 to 2.0 60 ft times, OUCH! Here is the video of my 13.1 from that night, against a 2nd gen running a Holset HX35 I believe.

Then I went up again the following week(last week). This time with the 2-step from my DSMChips stage 3 chip hooked up. I had the launch down pretty good before I went so I thought 12's was a LOCK, I was wrong. I made 3 passes and on all but one the car broke up right around 6k rpm's getting me yet again some more mid 13 passes. My one run that it did not break up on I got a 13.0 with a 1.9 60ft. Close but no cigar.
So this week I dug into my car to see exactly what what making it break up. Checked the mechanical timing and plugs first to be safe, not it. Then I fiddled with the ignition timing and it cleared it right up. Don't know how the ignition timing got out of whack but it did somehow. So I threw a timing light back on her and timed her up and she was good to go!
Now Friday had finally come and it was time to head back to the track in hopes of some 12's! First pass of the day was against my buddies 3rd gen Eclipse I FINALLY broke into the 12's! 12.96 @ 106 with a 1.81 60 ft time. Second pass was against a new Challenger SRT-8.

12.95 @ 107 with a 1.86 60 ft. Not bad!
Next pass was pretty much the same story going up against a Nova. 12.91 @ 107 with a 1.9 60 ft. By now I'm kinda getting sick of this 12.9x s#!t.
So onto my final pass of the night!! Up against a supercharged VR-6 Jetta.

I was SOO shocked when I saw my timeslip, 12.4 @ 110 with a 1.78 60 ft! I would have been happy with a 12.8 or 12.7 so this was AWESOME to say the least. Such a nice feeling when a 2 year build finally starts to re-pay you a little bit, and you can see what your build can do!
Mods list: 90 GSX @ 3030 lbs with me in it. Big 16g STILL on 15lbs on boost, Built block, built head(minus cams), FIC 750cc's, Aeromotive AFPR, Wally 255, 3g MAF, DSMChips stage 3 chip with the 2-step set to 4500 rpms, Fidanza 3.2 clutch, and a welded transfer case. I'm set on ordering ECMLink V3 Lite this Monday so I can finally log some passes, keep on eye on things, and FINALLY turn up the boost. Hoping to see an 11 second pass on this setup before the end of the season. Thanks for reading!!
