3rd hose from intake??

ok i have a pretty much stock 1g. so i take a look at my intake pipe and i see that there's a hose coming out of there that doesnt connect to anything else. There are 2 other hoses that are connected: the one that goes to the bov and the one that goes to the valve cover. wth is this 3rd one? its right next to the bov hose.

It should go to the charcoal canister located underneath the battery.

It;s part of the emmision system, it cleans harmful particles out of the air from the gas tank, or something to that nature.

It's not useless but if you have inspections or emissions, it's a good idea to have it hooked up.

What does the hose do that is connected to the valve cover? is it necessary? what about the charcol hose. can i remove it?
