I sold a blown 14b for $5 and a crapped head for $25! I love parts swaps!

Haha, that turbo is still sitting in my garage. I think I decided that I am going to tear it apart, paint it, and use it as a pen/pencil holder for my office. $5 well spent!

Anyway, I'm definitely in for this meet again. Last year was a blast, even with my stock GS-T...but at least I didn't have to worry about overheating on the drive like the rest of you guys! THIS year however, I'll get to bring out the Talon and roll with the big boys.

Tom, you wanna meet up at the Bridgewater Mall again and roll out?

That's a freakin awesome idea! Bring it back to the meet this year and resell it for $10! Thats profit!!! LOL

cool, were gonna do a parts sapper too? thats pretty kick ass. now i just gotta decide what i wanna give up. It would be nice to keep that head... and the spare block. still wanna keep the trans.. i already paid for that manifold to be ported... damn.
soo many parts, so few i am willing to give up! LOL

dude, I didn't think anybody would want any of the shit I brought, and I left with a set of hood pins and a celica intercooler. That's it. They took my motor mounts, ignition coil, bad head, bad turbos, spark plug wires, side mount intercooler, 2 oil coolers. EVERYTHING! Hopefully I can scrape some goodies up for people again this year. I have a feeling one of my cars is going to be packed with body panels and the other with motor stuff...

speaking of, I should just ask now, does anybody want me to bring them anything from a grey 1g automatic fwd??

Brian,
Place me on the list. I shall attend, and I can bring some fat free hotdogs again. The only situation that would keep me away is if I do indeed need a fourth back surgery. Recent MRI’s illustrated why I have been in so much pain lately. Hopefully, lumbar epidurals will be enough, yet I won’t know for several weeks. In regard to my GSX, it may even be fixed (JNZ has it now) by late July. If my GSX is not fixed, I’ll bring my Ford Ranger like last year.
Jim

P.S. Brian, you have a huge task to top last year’s event (the other photo is one of the Lithuanian guy’s Evo, kid, and wife [remember now?])

Haha, I don't know if I can create a larger fire than that! I think I singed off a bit of hair when I lit that. That thing was huge! And the food had a...distinct...taste after that :p

Hmm...I think I do remember them. I need to remember to take more pictures of people this year. I'm sure there are plenty of funny/candid moments I missed out on last year.

Have none of you guys ever heard of turbo burgers??

I have an aluminum heat shield with a nice flat surface just get the turbo glowing and toss the burgers on the heat sheild and close the hood most of the way. Yummmm.

I usually bring a few grilled cheese sandwiches with me to autox for me and the group. toasts them right up. only catch is if your running second heat (after lunch) you have to sit on the anti lag for 10-15 seconds to get the grill up to temp. LOL

The best way to make a fire is goin natural way..... some paper,wood...... no charcoal involving....food tastes wayyy better ;)

So you're suggesting to utilize the state park for all its resources? :p

I think someone mentioned doing this (or maybe it was hot dogs) with my brother's car since his bay is so darn clean!

But next time you cook something on the heat shield, take a picture. I want proof!!

I should have a chimney starter this year, which should help a lot. I'll have to see how much they are and possibly pick up a couple.

That's basically what you do with the #10 can. Take the top and bottom off the can and space it off the bottom of the grill with a few briquettes. It works like a charm. I used to have a few of those cans laying around, but it's been a while since I've been camping, so I threw them all away.

Well, we could consider inviting Smokey the Bear if a bigger grill fire is in the making, especially if we gather some big pieces of wood. Plus, he would look awesome in a DSM.
