well it was just so damn stupid! I was expecting for the time we made that we'd see a couple dsms drivin and we'd just follow em into the park. I had directions but of course they were crappy. So I pulled over once and asked for directions, they were bad, pulled over again, they told me to go too far! pulled over the third time and finally got the correct directions and found it just fine after that. I'm bringin a crapload of parts again! or atleast tryin! I made good money last year!

Haha thats awesome, they have pretty much gotten used to being the odd men out but I'm sure they will be stoked to come to this. I dont have any personal pictures of their rigs online, but i am sure they do. Ill just tell them they have to send them over as a resume before they cam come.

Wow are you serious? The DSM crew on there is awesome, and you should be happy their is a local site that cares enough about cars. They can't help every idiot who signs up. You could complain about any forum including this one if you based it off of certain people.

aside from the regrettable ratio of idiots to gear-heads and the 17yr old target demographic.. No they are not that bad, and certainly a number of cool people on there really know their shit. I just have a bad and somewhat physical past with one of the key persons from that site. but its in the past and we resigned to just staying away from that whole conflict. But thats all personal stuff and bears no relevance to this thread or this meet. So dont worry it wont affect anything but my personal attendance should the person in question be going, which is unlikely.

i would like that to be the end of the topic so we dont get side tracked and i dont start any unnecessary internet drama.

I set a starting time of 10:00 AM like last year. I think that was a good time as it gave us a few hours to mingle and people to arrive before we started cooking.

Looks like a cool place man. I suggest some wiffle ball with that nice big field (thats just me though ). Foods allways good. Deff looking forward to meeting some people, sounds like a good time count me in. Ill try to find a couple more dsm's to cruise up with cause no one likes driving all that way with no fun =]

I ride my bike to ridley creek all the time. thats no kind of adventure, I live right down by Cheyney.. if my dsm breaks down that weekend i can walk there.

well i guess i have no excuse then huh. when i comes time to do food or setup or what ever get a hold of me, clearly i can bring whatever and i can get their as early as need be.

It think when the time grows nearer i am going to start a seperate thread for people who live in the area and still want to go for a fun drive rather then just pop around the corner to the meet. I wanna see some DSMs down on rt 82

I remember going last year, as soon as i got to the main turn that takes you to Ridley, we had a group of 5-6. It was pretty cool.

Its worth it. AutoRST and cyclonekid drove 8 hours to get to the meet on time. Its a good time and the weather has treated us well both times. I like the picnic area we have gotten as well. No one bothers us and its secluded. Well, at least people visiting the park dont bother us... The rangers are a different story.

Someone asked it last year and I said no just because I don't want anyone drinking and driving. But I can't tell people what to do. I don't know what the parks rules on alcohol are.

I would say yes, but i gaurantee people would get out of hand and start bringing kegs to this, and then before you know it, you have people doing body shots and keg stands. Haha. And that would get out of hand. Plus, with hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of metal in our faces, i dont think anyone wants to lose it.

Im not saying that bring as much as you can,or drink till you will pass the f.... out,but like couple bottles or cans just to keep your self cool on these hot summer days ya know.....

Last year me and my friend ("German guy") had couple bottles of mexican piss (corona) ,just to stay cool on a hot day
