I did wash the engine bay. Forgot about that. It's not clean enough to eat off of, but there's no longer globs of oil and grease everywhere.

I used Power Purple to get the bulk of the dirt off then used sprayed just about everything down with 409 to get the rest of the greasy film gone. Then I just hosed it down with a garden hose and let it sit 24 hours to dry out.

Now I need to take some Mother's Mag polish to clean up the IC, intake, and heat shields. They have some light water spotting on them.

A shame we won't be seeing you there but I'm glad you finally got the car running. Hope to see you around some more local meets/shows soon.

Thanks man. I wasn't really in the mood to rush anything and be stranded on the side of the road, and I still need to get the front bumper and the RMDSM lip painted. I'll try to make something by the end of summer once the new setup is tuned too.

You know I can't show up with a half assed car let alone one that hasn't been detailed.:)

I doubt it. I never even got his username on the forums (he said he originally saw my ad on the link forums). He's from brooklyn, if I remember correctly.

You guys better take a lot of pictures

I was finishing up a little bit of tuning on the red car today. It should make the ~100 mile drive with no issues. I even did a map recon of E-85 stations in the area.

I guess I really don't need the boost set at 48psi, but it's nice to know what's under your right foot.

I'll see you guys there.

So, I'm assuming that you won't be able to make it? If so, I'll go ahead and pick up all the meat and rolls you were signed up to get.

On a side note, I'm still a little ticked about all the people that don't seem to care about contributing to the food / drink pool. Looking at the list on the first page, there is probably going to be 120+ people attending and I see the same names over and over again on the list of people bringing something.

I counted and there are only 20 people signed up to contribute. That's less than 17%. If you ask me, that's a bunch of bull.

Sadly, that's just the way it happens. I wish it was different, but it's not up to us.

I don't think we'll be doing the little judging thing I had mentioned before. I haven't talked with James about it since we brought it up and I have had no time to plan anything. But we'll definitely have it on the agenda for next year.

As always, the person/people who come from the furthest will get a little prize!

And if anyone would like to contribute to the fees to rent the pavilion, just find me.

We will continue to have the 1g's park together on one side of the lot, the 2g's on the opposite side, the Evo's together at one end of the lot, etc. We will also probably have Tony's rig showing up with the dragster, which I will block out space for because of it's size. If need be, we can always park along the road that leads to the lot, just not on the grass. I know, as always, not everyone who signs up will end up showing up, so we'll have to play parking by ear throughout the day. If we keep growing like this, we may have to get 2 or 3 lots next year!

Update on weather

Partly cloudy, 81°, 10% chance of rain :)

Honestly, I think the best way to handle getting food and such is to buy everything you need out of pocket and charge people a few bucks to get in. DSMers are cheap.

#### that you know how many people wouldn't go? Guys its a car meet that we're bringing food too not a bbq we're bringing our cars too. There will be food and ppl willbring stuff relax. I was so caught up in meeting ppl and looking at cars i barely even ate anything last year.

Wish I could make it, you bastards have fun and enjoy it as this is probably the biggest/best DSM meet put on by enthusiasts nowadays!

I am trying my hardest to make it out, this seems like it'll be awesome. I hope I get my new FMIC in the mail to install it and I wish I got my bumper, but that's not happening =/

Is anyone around me in north jersey that wants to drive out together

I'm officially off work and will be there. I'm so relieved.
I'll look over the list and try and figure something out to bring. I brought 4 bags of chips last year.
snowborder714, how much are you looking for contributions to the rental fee? I would possibly like to contribute in that way instead.

I can bring with me bnib BC272 cams, SBR tubular exhaust manifold & tubular o2 housing combo, turboXS polished mbc, Nology spark plug wiresin red, RRE intercooler piping with a real greddy typeS bov, RRE intake pipe with big K&N filter, Tial bov black spring, tons of stock 2g DSM parts if anyone is interested. Please contact me ahead of time so i know what to bring cause i don't want to lug around the stuff if not. Please pm me with any requests.

I'm looking for connectors for the 'Oil Pressure Switch (Dummy Light)' or 'Engine Coolant Temperature Gauge Unit' with a bit of wire on them, either connector will work:

This is for a 2g, but if the 1g connector is the same then that's fine.

Also looking for the piece on the 'Oil Pressure Switch (Dummy Light)' that the connector plugs onto - it's screwed into the sensor. Either 1g or 2g will work - I just need the part the connector goes on, not the whole sensor.

I'm looking for a bunch of these for a wiring project so let me know what you have. If anybody has these lying around let me know!

We have two socketed 2g ecu's that we'll be bringing along, and a rebuilt/blasted n/t throttle body too I think. If anybody is interested in these, please contact me.

As I posted on tristate and dsmtalk, I'll be there. Bringing along all of the camera equiptment. Also a good amount of food.

I'm 90% sure I won't be making it to the meet. Aside from family being in town that weekend, I have work.
:(

Tom,
If you are not coming, then who will provide the "special radiator mount" as a consolation prize? I guess you will have to make it so we have that award.

I have five packages of those tasty low fat hotdogs set aside to bring (in addition to the other stuff). Two of the packages will probably be eaten by me.

97 GSX 97,
I could be passing through 309 South. If you are in Perkasie, then I could give you a ride. I am driving a Fiero, meaning it is lacking room. Plus, stuff will be in the small trunk, leaving little room for additional stuff.

I shall bring some assorted parts from my 2g GSX, as well as some universal parts. If my GSX were repaired, then I could have brought a 7 bolt small block (minus any bearings).
Jim
