3rd Annual Northeast DSM Meet- MARK YOUR CALENDARS

We need more people to bring meat products - hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken, etc. We'll hopefully have over 100 cars there (with probably more than one person per car) and right now we only have 56 burgers and 64 hot dogs. We won't be able to feed everyone with just that. Especially when I know some people last year had 2-3 hot dogs and 1-2 burgers.

Brian,

Go ahead and delete me from the "Potato Salad" list and sign me up for the meat list. I won't know what I'm going to get yet, because I'll have to wait and see what sales they have at Karns. I would get it now, but I don't have enough room in my freezer to store 10lbs of chicken or hamburgers.

Throw me down for a bunch of meat. At the very least, I'll get 8 or 10 packages of hot dogs if there is nothing good on sale. It's not like they are expensive.

On a side note, Brian is correct. I think everyone should bring at least something. Even if it's a 2L bottle of soda or a package of rolls. If you can't afford the $3 for something like that, then you should stay home and save the money you would spend in gas. :D

7am is fine with me. Does that work for your LiQUiDx? We can all just meet at Bob Evans at 7am. Not that I'm going to know what you guys look like, but we can figure something out. :D

If we know how many are going to meet for breakfast, we can get a table and tell the greeter to sit anyone that mentions a "DSM group" with us. That's probably the simplest way.

I don't see myself listed on the first page for bring stuff yet. I wish I could do meat but I have no way to keep it cold.

I'll bring bottle of water for sure. I work at a Coca-Cola water bottling plant. LOL I'll get it for free. I'll check with the boss and see if I can grab a few more cases than I'm normally given. I hate to see you guys pay $5 a case for something I'll get for free. They just pile all the damaged cases up at one of the loading docks and let employees take some home every few weeks.

I guess I'll bring a few small cans of nacho cheese for hot dogs. And BBQ sauce (Sweet Baby Ray's FTW!). And three 24-pack cases of soda.

So mark me down for:
-3 cans of nacho cheese for on the dawgs
-3 bottles of BBQ sauce
-3 24-pack cases of soda.
-5 (or more) cases of water.
-can opener
-few more tongs/spatulas/knives for grillin

And I'll have a box of random parts for the part swap.

I'm down with that, Wes is going to be staying my my place Saturday night assuming he doesn't get lost :p and that's just down the street from you as well.

He is planning on going to the Harrisburg Mall meet that day so I'll prob. go to that as well. I dunno what you have planned for that Saturday?

Anyone else that wants to meet up, start posting it up :thumb:

Brian & Eric:
Any clue yet as to what is going on with you two? Leaving Saturday (or earlier) or on Sunday?

I'm still excited to make it out to this, just waiting to finally get my work schedule to be sure. There is a bunch of local people not on here coming as well as some Evo people who aren't on here.

I'm waiting to make sure i can 100% come before committing to bring something.
If i do make it out i will have a set of BNIB BC272 cams & Crower Valve springs & Ti Retainers for sale. Nology hot wires, SBR tubular exhaust manifold, tubular o2 housing, RRE intercooler piping, BNIB Hawk rear pads for a 2g & a ton of 2g stock parts for sale that i can bring.
Please get in contact with me before the meet to i can make sure to bring whats needed. Don't hesitate to pm me asking if i have something up until the night before the meet.

^^^ I agree with him. I'm not driving 6.5 hours to feed 8.2 people and drive 6.5 hours back. My gas is going to be over $100 as it is. We're going to bring food, but not tons.

Awesome. I understand money is tight right now for a lot of people, so some people can afford to spend more than others. Even if everyone that isn't on the list now were to bring something, then we don't have to worry about being short. Even a bag of chips, some rolls, or a package of hamburgers / hot dogs.

I was talking to my wife and she said that Karns (grocery store for those of you not from around here) always has chicken thighs on sale for $1.49/lb. I figure I can get 20lbs for less than $30. Does anyone know how much 20lbs of chicken thighs turns out to be? The wife and I pretty much just eat seafood and don't buy chicken very much.

That's a good idea. Whoever gets there first sets it up.

Anyway they can register so we have a good head count and know what they are bringing?

I don't have anything on the calendar right now, but I always shoot sporting clays in the morning. What time is that meet and is it just DSMs?

Hey going to be staying in Pottstown, PA on Saturaday and leaving to the meet from there, so if I am close to anyone that wants to meet up let me know not from the area but hit me up I got the trustee gps and will definitely bring some food.

After contacting JNZ Tuning, my GSX will not be completed before the DSM meet. Considering my GSX was initially going to be done before June, I am disappointed. So, there will be a ragged Fiero in the mix. My left leg injury makes it difficult to drive my Ranger since it has a clutch.

Darn, I was anticipating a new source of queasiness since there will be no lighter fluid used. Hot sun and potato salad combine for interesting circumstances. I imagine Nate heard the 4th of July warnings about potato/macaroni salad in the heat.

I'll leave this up to you as to what you want, but LTUDSM is bringing about 20lbs of chicken - 10lbs chicken (I'd guess thighs, legs, etc.) and 10lbs wings. So I would say that's a good bit of chicken and we could do more hot dogs or burgers. Or just get one or two things of meat and still bring the potato salad to get some variety in there. In the end, it's up to you though. Just PM me or post it up when you decide so I can change/edit the post.

It's sounding like we're going to need more grilling space!!

So mark me down for:
-3 cans of nacho cheese for on the dawgs
-3 bottles of BBQ sauce
-3 24-pack cases of soda.
-5 (or more) cases of water.
-can opener
-few more tongs/spatulas/knives for grillin

Will do!

There is a place called arnies in cherry hill.nj that has mutant sized. Hick sausage and stuff i can pick stuff up no big deal.

Do it up! Let me know what you plan to get if you follow through. Sausage would be a good addition!

With the addition of all the drinks and meat, anyone have any large coolers? I might be able to get a large cooler, but would have to see if it's available and if it'll fit in my car. If so, I'll probably get ice to fill it. And we'll need some more ice to keep all those drinks cold - no one likes drinking warm water!

20lbs of chicken thighs will easily feed 40-60 people with all the other food there. I worked at Weis before and we always had chicken on sale for dirt cheap.

The meet at Harrisburg Mall is from 4pm-8pm. It's not just DSMs. Seems like it's expected to be big. Harrisburg Mall Monthly Meet July 31st! 4-8pm - TriStateTuners.com :: Home of Tristate Auto Enthusiast

Maybe I should get some steaks for the wisemen / moderators that will be attending. All you other guys would have to fend for yourself. ROFL

I'll shoot you a PM when I send the wife to the store.

On a car note no.gaurentees but my l19s just came in today. So the engine wont be 100% but it will be far enough along to put in the car and make it worth bringing to meet meet. Cross your fingers nothing crazy happens.

You can update me to the list for bringing a case of water.

Weather it runs or not, I want to see that car at the 3rd anual meet weather you have to push, pull, trailer or tow that thing there!

My car threw me a surprise yesterday. I blew a coolant hose and the alternator stopped charging both on the same 180 mile trip home. I ended up limping it back by going between Autozones and getting my battery recharged.

Hopefully my car has that out of it's system now.

Nothing is driveable, well my Honda is, and I don't want to drive that. What drag car, its in pieces :banghead:

Who cares what u drive as long as u come, but do try to park the Honda far off to the side LOL , ## not the only one not bringing a Dsm , I blew my GSX in may an sold it:cry: but I was Gona go in my cobalt , but now I got a beater laser n/a it's not pretty but I hope it makes it
