I went last year and had an awesome time, wouldnt miss it for the world. BTW is there a dyno close to Ridley Park? I think if you guys could set it up to be at the park from 10 to 3 or something and then cruise to a near by dyno would make it an even better event than last year. I think if you guys could incorporate a dyno into the day would make it awesomer, as long as its within drivable distance, like no more than 45mins away. But either way it will be a good time regardless.

I like this idea, and since i'll probably trailer mine, i won't be afraid of getting it home either. Plus the car trailer i'll be borrowing has a winch on it :D

Brian and I had that thought but its a lot more to it than just go to the dyno and run your cars. I think the only place we could go to do that would be CBRD since they have the parking for all the cars that comes. I can make a call and see but im not sure how it would go down.

The trick is finding a local AWD dyno.
Then ask and see just how many people would be interested in going to the dyno. People who are going to run would get first dibs on parking. If the place has enough space for spectators, then that's a bonus. Otherwise, we might just need to carpool in from a larger parking lot.

Yeah i feel finding a AWD dyno with in a short distance of the park might be a shot in the dark, but if possible that would be sweet. We would have to contact the owner ASAP though, as our meet is is only 3 weeks away. But honestly all he would have to do is figure out how many cars he can dyno with in X amount of hours he is willing to stay there on a Sunday. Typically dyno days run $50 for 3 dyno pulls w/o any tuning adjustments. Or if there is only a 2WD dyno near by, it would still be cool to hang around a dyno with dsm's as well as chillin' & grillin. As of right now, if there is an AWD dyno available, I'd like to call dibs on a session.

Is there anybody from north west NJ (morris or sussex county, etc.) going? If so i would like to meet up and drive down together. Shoot me a pm or post up somewhere we can all meet, ### i dont want to drive down by myself again- very boring.

Now on the other hand, i think a dyno would be bad ass but finding one that is close w/ a crap load of parking is the hard part.

Alright everyone. I'm trying to get a group drive going to get down the the park. I personally want to be there by 10am since I'm bringing the charcoal and what not. I figure either meeting up somewhere in Harrisburg or New Cumberland/Lemoyne would work out.

Those of you that are leaving early and pass through Harrisburg let's try to meet up in the AM to head down.

PM or start posting on here your info if you are wanting to join up and I'll try to get a list going and where the best place would be to meet up at.

Nathan, obviously we can meet anywhere at any time. Do you know of anyone else that is planning on group riding?

I think some guys from north NJ are meeting up in Bridgewater and heading over...hopefully Tom can chime in about that one.

As for a dyno...it's a good idea, but you really need to dedicate a whole day for that. Imagine trying to get 20-30 cars on the dyno in a couple hours! I'd be impossible. Let's try to get a tri-state dyno day at a local DSM shop. I'm sure they'd be up for making tons of money.

I'm saying no to the dyno idea. I mentioned this at the very beginning of the thread and no one showed any interest in doing this. I have already paid for the lot at Ridley, so we're going to go there. Sorry to be a pain, but now's not the time to try and arrange a dyno day for this meet.

Food and attendance list in the first post updated!

Tom, if you're unsure you are going, will you be sending food?

Either way, we still need a bunch of stuff, so please sign up for something. We have almost 100 people going, so we should have no problem getting everything. I'm still shocked at how few people sign up to bring something every year.

Ah that's what I was afraid of, the notice is quite short. Maybe next year a dyno day can be worked into after the event, I do remember reading it in the first post but I wasn't sure what came of it. I will still be there dyno or no dyno it's fun regardless. I will decide what to bring and post about it.

I'll be coming from State College. If anyone wants to meet up on US-322, I'm game. We can then keep rolling and meet up with anyone in Harrisburg.

Here's my route.

Wes, what time were you going to be making it at the meet? I'd love to meet up in Harrisburg but as stated, I need to be there by 10am or so. Maybe a little later.

Brian and Eric may be leaving to head down on Sunday as well but they are unsure ATM.

I thought this may be an issue.

Is there a list of what is needed somewhere, i would like to contribute something non-refrigerated.

I'm fine leaving whenever. I work nights, so my sleep schedule gets messed up every weekend. I'm actually heading straight from the meet to Assateague Island for vacation. To get myself back on a "normal" sleep schedule, I'll probably sleep until I feel like it Saturday, pull and all nighter Saturday night, be the weird guy at the carwash at 4am, then drive to meet who ever.

I actually pulled an all nighter last year before the meet because I worked nights. I think I was up 36 hours by the time I left. I ended up pulling over at a rest stop on the turnpike and sleeping.

Well as long is it's fine for an early AM meet then I'm sure it'll work out. Need to figure out a good meeting place then. Perhaps at Bob Evans at
771 EISENHOWER BLVD
HARRISBURG, PA 17111

It's on your route.

I live in shrewsbury, anyone wanting to meet up and cruise together?

I'd say come meet up with us but that may be too much back tracking for you.

That will work. It should be easy enough to spot.

So, if anyone else want to meet us there feel free to join in.

8am sound about right? Google says it's a 1hr 40min drive from there to the park.

I'll be leaving State College at 6am then.
