the family thing I'm not too worried about. I JUST started my new job, so it would look pretty bad if I called out so soon. I'm still trying to weasel my way out of it (not to mention crossing my fingers) for getting/requesting the day off.

My Honda would walk all over some of the DSM's there without turbo ... I see what happens, maybe it would be a Benz day.

Well I have 5 cases of water already. I'll ask the boss if I can grab some more on Friday. I should be able to; there's still 4 full pallets of bottled water for employees to take.

I think I'll have the bottled water covered if I grab another case or two or three. There are 24-36 bottles per case.

I can't bring the cases of soda any more though. I have someone interested in buying my bike, so that has to go in the hatch. Along with my camping gear for vacation that I'm leaving for directly from the meet. I don't think I'll have room for it. I'd rather bring water since I'll get it for free. I'll still bring the other stuff though.

Food list updated. Keep in mind for those viewing this thread on other sites to please refer back to the food list on DSMtuners as it will be the most up-to-date. Thanks to all who have stepped up! Now we're just waiting to see what Tom does so that we can cover what he was initially planning on bringing.

The only thing that I see that we could use some more of is soda, as long as people want something with flavor. It looks like we'll have a good amount of water coming. As always, if anyone can think of something they like to have at a picnic, feel free to bring it!

I'm trying to get one of my photog friends to come & get some good shots but he's still up in the air because of his schedule.
I'll have my video camera there(doubt it will be of much use), and a basic point & shoot for my personal collection.

I should be finding out today if my schedule will be clear for next sunday or not.

For all those people considering not coming to the meet because their DSM is inoperative, drive whatever can get you there. It is worth it. Look at what I am going to drive to the meet. It isn't pretty, but it drives great. Plus, it doesn’t have a clutch that aggravates my current left leg problem.

P.S. I am bringing my "sophisticated" DSLR camera which has more functions than I understand. If a photography savvy person wants to use it, then I'll gladly let someone use it to get "sophisticated" pictures.

Looks like I won't be out this year boys and girls. The car just ran for the first time in 8 months 2 days ago and I have some loose ends to tie up on it still. Good luck to this years meet and I'll definitely be looking to be there next year better than ever.

Planned projects that still need completed:
-Fix 3 rust spots
-Deoxidize yellowed headlights
-Straighten front bumper
-Make new FMIC bracket
-Make new fuse box bracket
-Change front brake pads

Unintended projects that need done:
-Leaky gas tank filler tube. Can't fill tank more than 3/4 full.
-Leaky VC gasket. Drips onto exhaust heat shield...
-Driver's window switch bracket broke

Projects completed:
-Installed distribution block and circuit breaker for battery relocation (finally)
-MBC reinstalled
-Hatch privacy cover trimmed to clear rear strut bar
-Fab'd new coolant bottle. Wait till you see it. It's baller.
-Fixed passenger side fog light wiring

Unintended projects completed:
-Fix upper radiator hose (Yesterday)
-Radiator flush (Yesterday)
-Install new alternator (Last Tuesday)
-New low beam bulbs (Last Last Sunday)


Plus I work 48 hours this week. I'm going to be a bit busy.

I have so many projects on my list that it's not even funny. The car will only get washed (hopefully...) before the meet. The engine bay is not in the best shape right now, the car needs a good detail, and a bunch of other projects are 'in process'.

I really wish I could have accomplished something, but work is eating up all my time. Looks like I have a somewhat busy winter ahead of me.

I may have some time on Thursday to play around with my alternator on the Talon. If I can get it fixed, I'm driving it on Sunday. Otherwise it's evo time.
