Im looking to get a 3582 hta, Im just not sure if I should get it in a t3 or mitsu. Its about a $500 difference. I have a bulit 2.3. I will be running 93 octane and ~25psi maybe meth in the future. How much hp will I gain with the t3? What should I get:confused:

T3 is going to make a huge difference to your top end. I would definitly go T3.

+1 also you will have more choises down the road if you ever want to switch to a different turbo. Spool charastics are going to depend on timing and your motor how healthy it is. Also going t3 you have to watch you A.R. size cause that will effect spool aswell.

There is a guy here Boosted GSX/Andrew/. He runs 3582 HTA. I he gets full boost at around 4K with a 2.3 stroker too/ this was in 4 gear/. Third gear in mid 4ish RPM. You do not even have to think about Mitsu flange. T3 all the way.

<- this guy.

And actually it was 4200rpms for 20 psi in 3rd with an .82 A/R T3 turbine housing.

*edit* the best part is + manifold pressure at 2200rpms though. Torque is awesome.

What is your goal? You mentioned a random boost number and running pump gas. Why not 30 psi? or 20 psi? We need to know what you want from the build. In most cases, pumpgas goals should be relegated to larger, better flowing turbines.

When I said 25psi, thats what my car was tuned last year. I dont see how I can run 30psi on 93 with this turbo.

You should be able to run 25 psi and make some NICE power with that turbo setup on pump.

Then when you want more, and are going to the track or something, go ahead and get some 100 octane in there (or higher octane... maybe something leaded!) and you can turn the boost up and really have some fun!

I think you can't go wrong with either FP3582hta or a T3 one. The FP one has been proven to do 140-150+ which is about 90% faster then most people are wanting to go. It just narrows down to whats more affordable for you and if you want a strait forward bolt on setup without any fab work needed.
