mitsu to t3 adaptor plate

I will be purchasing a T3 GT3561 turbo with the SP cover within the next week and I would like to know if anyone has experience with the AMS T3 adaptor plate. My question is, does anyone know if the comp. housing will clear the water pipe with a 2g manifold and the adaptor plate? Also, since the plate will drop the turbo down about 1/2'' will i run into any problems with the turbo being too close to the front motor mount to bolt up the intercooler pipe? Thanks for the help.

The comp. housing seems to clear without a problem. That kit was mounted on a 2g which does not have the front engine mount like the 1g. I may call AMS tomorrow to ask if the 1g front engine mount will interfere with attaching the intercooler pipe.

The only problem I think you'll have is the oil return line interfering with the motor mount. You can clock the compressor housing of the turbo to clear the motor mount, but you can't clock the centersection of the GT3561. I found that out the hard way this weekend when I installed mine.

I have one if your interested, i had one made out of 1" t304 stainless and it cost me like 170 to make. I'd let it go for less if you were interested. The ams one is not stainless..........

Nope, delays in the build gave me enough time to save up for a T3 manifold. It's still all shinny and unmollested.

They sell them for only $50, Call them and talk to Sam, hes cool and very knowledgable. I was going to have him make me one that I had designed to use a t3 manifold on a mitsu turbo but I ended up buying a t3 turbo to match the t3 manifold instead.
