worcester,
I’m in the process of installing brakes from a 92 Dodge Stealth TT onto my 99 GSX. I already have all the parts to do the conversion, including the brackets and spacers. Does anyone know which brake lines i’m suppose to use? If I remember correctly Robby Camero and Widebody have done this conversion. Thanks

Show us pics whern your done :thumb:

do you need 18" wheels to fit those big brakes??

I sure hope you don't need 18" wheels. :D

I've got 17" evo wheels, and i'm planning on doing the front brake conversion to the N/A 3000GT brakes- I don't think they'll have a problem fitting. I could practically fit my head in between the inside of the rim, and the puny brakes on the 1G-a. :D

I guess i should have read this better- I didn't see the "VR-4" deal. How big are those brakes? The reason i was going to go with the N/A brakes is that they're significantly bigger than my stockers, and a direct bolt on. How much more work is needed for the VR-4 discs?

I will post pictures as soon as i'm done. This stupid New England weather is not cooperating. If your planning to install the brakes from a NA 3000GT you do not need 18" wheels. I'm not sure if you will need 18s or not with the VR4 calipers. I already have them so no worry there. The VR4 calipers are big. They are 4 piston Brembos. Here's a list of the parts I have:

Calipers and rotors off a 92 Stealth TT

New brake pads

Custom Brackets and spacers from http://www.electronicauto.com/produ...on/brackets.htm

H&R 25mm wheel spacers

18" wheels

Stock 2G brake lines

I look forward to the pictures. My understanding is that the wheels i have can clear some pretty big brakes- after all, the stock evo brembo's aren't exactly tiny. :D

Sorry no updates yet, it might not get done until Spring. But here are some pictures of the car. The front got owned by a deer on my way to the track. Luckily it didn't do much damage besides destroy my bumper, lip, and puncture the intercooler. Still ran a 12.8 that day LOL.

The EVO front brakes are 4 piston. The rears are 2 piston.
