3 WARNING lights just came on? any ideas?

My wifes 1997 TSI AWD auto:
I went out and started it up to go to work and 3 lights are on and I have no idea why. they are the battery, at temp, and e-brake lights. any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's hard to tell but check your battery and alternator. It's a early warning sign of a bad alternator. Does it smell like rotten eggs at any point when driving the car? That would be the alternator putting out too much voltage and cooking your battery. Stop by your local auto parts store and have them check both of them out for you.

its the alternator.the battery light comes on if its the battery.
