Well I was cleaning up the motor today and checking on some things to make sure everything under the hood is kosher besides my turbo and i saw these 3 plugs at the back of the compartment, a black one, a blue one and a yellowish/orange one. none plugged into anything, anyone know what they are for?

[Too big.]

These are ports for various diagnostic purposes. The Brown one, or "yellowish/orange" is for grounding the cars idle control circuitry in order to correctly adjust the BISS screw without the ECU trying to compensate.

Off the top of my head, I can't remember which color, but one is to energize the fuel pump without starting the car and I don't know about the other.

So if you were worried about them not being connected to anything, don't be; everything is "kosher" as you put it. If you really want to know the details on the Black and Blue plugs, search through the electrical troubleshooting procedures in the Factory shop manual.

Hope that helped.
