hey guys i work for a fabricating company and we have a couple mandrel pipe benders. i was thinking about making a 3.5" or 4'' exhaust (which ever will fit) but i need to know how many people would be interested before i make the first one. then ill be able to give a price and pictures. plus im also thinking about making a side exit with oval tubing for gst's. so let me know what you would like to see on exhaust the system like v-band clamps and so on.

With a mandrel bender, do you have the pinpoint for inputs? Like you mock yours up and then put in the bends with an arm on the machine?
If so I think you could make some nice 1 piece FWD side exits.
I could go for a 4" side exit, then route it into a 2" stock type exhaust, that would rock.

I'd buy this. If you decide you wanted to do something like this :p

I think he gave up!!!!!! Its been almost a month and no pic's or prices!!!!

I run an Apexi GT exhaust which is 3.25" ID. If you can build a 4" to clear the rear axel I think you could have a couple guys with intrest on here.

3" is actually too big for most DSMers, and is responsible for most (if not all) cases of boost creep.

4" is downright retarded for any car with a turbo flowing less than 90 lb/min.

Im going with this guy!!!

I think we are the only ones on here that thinks dsm doesn't need a 4"!
Like i stated before on this post
The ONLY cars you see with 4" exhaust are big twin turbo'ed staight sixes like the Surpa and Skyline.... And big ol tonka trucks!
I think its pointless!
Why waste your money on
a 4" Full Exhaust, when you can just run your 3" exhaust short out the side or just drop off in the middle under you car??

Just stating my opinion!

Most people that need more than 3" exhaust, go to a side exit!

It's not going to hurt anything being that big. If you are pushing a 16g nothing is going to help creep short of an external gate. Lots of people never put their 1000cc injectors or 255hp's to their full use, yet they are recommended.

I'll be doing a 4" side exit on my car, mostly because i have the bends for free and nobody doesn't love a functional 4" hole in the side of their car.

A 4" aluminum race setup would be awesome.

Ive been thinking about the idea of like 3in side exit on a gst, that also routes into a stock exshust. That idea would be awesome it you could make it.
