hey guys i work for a fabricating company and we have a couple mandrel pipe benders. i was thinking about making a 3.5" or 4'' exhaust (which ever will fit) but i need to know how many people would be interested before i make the first one. then ill be able to give a price and pictures. plus im also thinking about making a side exit with oval tubing for gst's. so let me know what you would like to see on exhaust the system like v-band clamps and so on.

Just don't be surprised if you fire a couple squirrels out starting it up one day ;)

I agree on the 3", 4" would be pretty pricey and fun to get it to fit just right. If you can get the materials cheap, why not fab one up and rock it.

if no one wants it thats fine. it was just a thought for the guys that were making 600+hp and wanted bigger exhaust. i know you can make big power with 3'' but i always heard the best exhaust for a turbo is no exhaust

well i have a gst and theirs no way it would clear the rear axle.
but the price shouldnt be to bad im guessing between 300 and 400 dollars for round tubing for a gsx if i was to sell one

3.5" and 4" exhaust is used more on 37r and 42r turbo set ups which not alot of people have most dsmers stick with 14b, 16g, 18g, 20g, 50trim, and up to 35r so there wouldnt be a point to run that big of exhaust. 3" is plenty enough. maybe make 3" full exhaust from dp to tip for a good price i bet that will sale if you have good welding skills and make it fit nice.

With a mandrel bender, do you have the pinpoint for inputs? Like you mock yours up and then put in the bends with an arm on the machine?
If so I think you could make some nice 1 piece FWD side exits.
I could go for a 4" side exit, then route it into a 2" stock type exhaust, that would rock.

Might want to find an audience that actually makes over 600whp. 95% of tooners never will. There are tons of people on the ECMLink forums using massive top mount turbos and putting down enough power to warrant a 4" side exit. Might want to check there. Good luck!

well i was trying to make something that no one sells. i know most people want three inch but i know that the 4g63 can make some serious power so i figured their would be a small market for it

If you wanted something niche, I would take my idea and make it connect with a catback at 2.5" or even stock. And wastegate setup for the cutout to make it simple(or electric for WOT).

well if i have all the stuff to make that too but electric cutouts are like 150 bucks :notgood: im tring to keep the cost down so people will buy it. but if thats what people want ill make them. thinks for the ideas keep em coming.

heres a link to are shop Performance Exhaust Maryland -- MBS is your Maryland source for custom performance exhaust

Im looking for 4inch exhaust for my 2g Awd. how much would that run me?

what kind of muffler do you want? no muffler would cost about 400. but if i could get a few people to buy the system i might be able to make it cheaper. if i only sold one or two it wouldnt be worth the time it takes to make a jig. sorry

It will cost you about 2" of ground clearance. What kind of pipe are you wanting? SS or mild steel there's a HUGE difference in price.
A 4" .120 wall weighs 4.9lbs a running foot.

yes ss and mild steel have a big difference in price. but we use a .065 wall pipe so it will weight about half that
