i installed a 16g in a 1996 talon fwd with a 1gen bov the other day and test drove it. the car had awsome torque and it didnt even have 450s the car felt almost as fast as mine my ? is will i make more power with a 2nd gen head then a 1gen head on my set up? my car is already in the mid to high 12s and killing everthing in sight

I belive the 2G head is a bit more efficient than the 1G head (stock vs. stock). However, it's not a direct bolt on fit. You may just want to invest in a new set of cams, intake manifold, and maybe some custom work instead.

if i am not wrong the only diff, is the head bolts need to be enlarged? and what cams other then the crowers should i use? i was thinking of installing a 2nd gen head and a magnus intake?

I'm picking up a set of HKS 264(I) / 272(E) cams. My buddy has them w/a 20G turbo and the other basics and is running 12s. Many believe that Comp cams give more power than the HKS cams do...but smog is a pain-my buddy was still able to smog with the HKS cams installed. If that's not an issue for you, check out Comp cams. I'm still researching which intake manifold I'm going to pick up...

You'll slightly gain more power and go faster...at a considerable price...unless you got the hook up.

the 2g head has smaller ports, although it has a much better entry angle towards the valves. the 1g head has big ports and a crappier entry angle towards the valves.

youll most likely make a tad more power since these engine peak out at so high an rpm, with the 1g head at least.its like i said, you want mid-low grunt,or top end mayhem?

with the awd and the b16 theres not much out there that can take me out the hole i just ran against a 1967 camero 427 .60 over, cam and all the goodies with n.o.s. does 11's on motor only i got him out the hole buy 2 cars and then he pass me by 2 cars when i was catching up but i blew 3rd and he won by 4 cars i was just catching up. would have been alot closer if it wasn't for that dsm trans, o well gotta love these awd's

Stock vs stock a 1g head is more potent..

Lets just say a have a 2g Based head in the works...

I left the floor alone and will be making an intake with injector bungs in it because there is no room in the head anymore..
