2nd/4th Gen Eclipse Compatability

well i may be getting a 2006 eclipse gs...with a blown motor...i was wondering if anyone knows what kind of compatibility i would be looking at if i wanted to say swap the seats, or the brakes since i have drums in the back and want disks...

im hoping it is something kinda simple just because i want to swap the brakes since i know that they are larger and since i dislike the seats in the car now i was just gonna swap them til i can get a nice set of aftermarkets...

brakes will not fit ... if you want a complete rear disk conversion pm me. and as for the interior it will fit but you will need to make brackets for the front seats.. i would just find an engine for the newer eclipse and sell it that way you could help fund your project good luck.

that's the only way to do it considering they stopped making the eclipse in 99

Mitsubishi is in trouble. They should have never abandoned the turbo engines for the Eclipse... and they should have had the 2000+ Eclipse body designer shot.

Now they almost discontinued the Lancer/Evo as well.

Its the Evolution of the motorsport. everything is evolving to be eco-friendly.

evo x will be around till the end of 2013 I believe.

Maybe they are looking for some .gov grants for being "eco friendly" since they are all about green crap. You know, cause they have all their money invested in it. ...

I thought part of the deal with the loans for GM and Chrysler was that they had to make more eco-friendly cars... blah blah.

Sorry for the tangent... as for the original statement.. no, I really don't think anything I interchangeable since the 4th gen is a different platform altogether.

As ed1380 said, they stopped making the eclipse in 99. The Evo X is the last evo, but the lancer will continue production.
Not only should the 3G eclipse designer be be shot, but whatever tard decided that a V6 is better than the 4G63T should be tortured and killed in the worst way possible. Way to f*@k up Mitsu...
