Anyone have any tips for dropping the trani? everythings unbolted and it's separated, but I'm having trouble getting to drop out.

You have a NT right? So you have to remove the inspection cover and remove bolts from the inside to remove the flywheel from the clutch. Stupid design. Thanks chrysler.

Ya it's a N/T. I removed the bottom cover and the flywheel bolts. Also removed the trani mount. Just can't seem go get it to drop.

Use a jack to lift the trans up and try to slide it evenly out. Make sure the axles are out. I believe there is a bracket in the way as well. Its been a while since i did a clutch on a NT

Is it still on the car or is it sagging loose. If it's not loose then it's probably stuck by the pressure plate.

It's sagging loose. I've gotten it pulled far enough back that I can see the middle of the pressure plate and flywheel and it's off.

Ya that's kind of what I'm having problems with. Axles are out. And there is a bracket in the very rear of the engine bay on the undercarriage that it hits but ive been prying it FWD and don't get why it won't budge. I have a floor jack under it. It's hard to hold it up evenly because the very middle of the trani is a hard slope. I just don't get what I'm doing wrong. Lol. Seems to me it should just drop out at this point

You unbolt the starter plate from the trans? Thatll get in the way too.

I'm not positive what the starter plate is? I've got the starter all the way off though...

Wait just that metal plate in there? I thought that went all the way around the trani? This is pissin me off.

It does. But it prevents you from removing the trans, at least from what i can remember, if its still on there.

Ah I gotcha. No that wasn't in my way at all. I went back over everything in the daylight and re read the instructions I had and realized I completely missed the rear trani mount. Unbolted that and it dropped right out. Getting it back in was a bi*** though.
